About us | Flames Auto Rental | Car Rental Belize
Flames Auto Rental Belize has been in the Belize Car Rental industry operating in San Ignacio since 2006. The company is one of the pioneering Car Rental Belize companies in San Ignacio Town that offered its services to locals even before the Belize Car Rental Industry and Tourism began to boom in Western Belize. Our first customers included businessmen and women, teachers and some government offices like the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture and the Institute of Social and Cultural Research (ISCR)branch of the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) who often required emergency mobility.
Flame Auto Rental Belize grew from a few Chevy Trackers which were rented to backpackers in San Ignacio to a fleet of Suzuki XL7s, Chevy Trackers and 15 passengers Ford Vans. Our main customer base is now tourists from Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Toronto. These tourists can range from archaeologists from the University of Calgary who rent from us annually to backpackers from California. We enjoy providing mobility for tourists and locals alike.

Caracol is a large ancient Maya archaeological site, located in what is now the Cayo District, of Belize. It is situated approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Xunantunich, and the town of San Ignacio, and 15 km (9.3 mi) from the Macal River. It rests on the Vaca Plateau, at an elevation of 500 m (1,600 ft) above sea-level, in the foothills of the Maya Mountains.
Cross Country Cycling Classic
The Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic is a one-day amateur cycling race held in Belize every year during the Easter holidays. It is Belize's biggest cycling event and has begun to be recognized internationally. Cyclists race to the western town of San Ignacio, in the Cayo District, turn there and return to Belize City, finishing at the Marion Jones Sports Complex.

The Hummingbird Highway
The Hummingbird Highway is one of the most beautiful and scenic routes in the country. Named for the abundance of hummingbirds found in the country, the Hummingbird Highway connects central Belize to the southeastern coast. First paved in 1994, the highway is 53.7 miles (86.4 km) long and connects the George Price Highway (often referred to as the Western Highway) outside of Belmopan in central Belize to the Southern Highway just outside of the town of Dangriga in the Stann Creek District of southeastern Belize.
